Dear Friends
CELEBRATE is a Holiday Conference for Christians of all ages,
and our vision has always been to offer you a spring event which combines
good Christian teaching and celebration with an opportunity top relax and
enjoy a short break after the winter – in other words refreshment for body,
mind and spirit for all the family.
Celebrate 2007 was our fourteenth CELEBRATE but for the first time,
in 2008, CELEBRATE will be different. With regional weekends, CELEBRATE will
be more accessible to ever more people. Already, in anticipation of
2008, the organising team are praying and already working towards our weekends,
sensing God’s guidance along the way. We are committed to doing everything
we can to make the weekends as relaxing and refreshing for you as possible.
Should any problems arise we will do our best to resolve them.
CELEBRATE is always an exciting time, and 2008 will be no different in that
we’ve assembled a team of gifted people to challenge us with the Good
News, to inspire us, and to entertain us with their wit, wisdom and God-given
artistic talents. It certainly isn’t boring to be a Christian today.

Dear Parents
When CELEBRATE started in 1994 our aim was to offer an opportunity
for everyone in the family to enjoy a relaxing spring week with good spiritual
input.
We feel that this aim is being fulfilled, and the fact that with
very little promotion CELEBRATE has been fully booked each year indicates that people enjoy and benefit from what is
on offer.
The Core Group are particularly delighted that so many children and
young people have come each year, representing about half the total number
present !! . Some of the young people have started to invite friends
from school or college to come with them, and so we have been pleased to
welcome a number who do not have regular contact with a church or a Christian
group.

Most of us at CELEBRATE are Catholics, but we are
delighted to be joined by those from other Christian traditions, including
a number of our speakers. We have much to learn from each other and
to share and celebrate together. Sadly we will be reminded of our history
of division when we come together for the Eucharist, but our desire is that
as we experience even more acutely the pain of division, we will commit ourselves
to praying and working for unity with even greater conviction.
May the Lord bless us all in 2008, and please pray for everything
He wants to do in us and through us at CELEBRATE. After all,
as we write each year – it’s HIS Conference.
In the Peace and Joy of our Risen Lord and Saviour
