Celebrate 2008 Weekends

FAITH & FUN FOR ALL THE FAMILY

During 2008 we've been running several CELEBRATE events around the UK. Including Joel's Bar, eight events have taken place, all of which were based on the same theme:

The love of God has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us [Romans 5:5]

This has been a new experience for us all! Joel's Bar, Guildford, Manchester, Southampton, Heart of England (Princethorpe), St Albans, Brighton and most recently Bristol have been great successes. We strove to provide a warm, welcoming and expectant atmosphere for everyone, so that our times together would help us draw closer to God and be more confident in our faith. We give thanks to God and pray for all those who were involved in planning the events of 2008.

But as we approach the end of the year, it continues to challenge us to listen to the Lord and do what He wants next. Please pray, above all, that God will be glorified

... we had eight events in total in 2008 !!!

Organisation Each regional meeting however was organised by a local team, so there was a variety of speakers and styles and we are all very excited about the plans. Click here (coming soon) to see the regional teams.

Dates & Times The dates varied across the country - and we found that in many cases some Celebrators and their guests were able to go to more than one event. Each started on Saturday morning and finished on Sunday evening. It was always our hope that the events would be a new and rewarding experience for many.

Accommodation The weekends were non-residential but we asked you to book as early as possible so that we could organise the teams which look after the children - many thanks for this, it was extremeley helpful to us. The children’s ministry has always been an important feature of the Celebrate Conferences and we wanted it to be equally important and well run during the weekends.
