CELEBRATE is a Holiday
Conference for Christians of all ages, organised by a team from Catholic
Charismatic Renewal. Our vision is to offer you a spring event which
combines good Christian teaching and celebration, with an opportunity
to relax and enjoy a short break after the winter – in other words, refreshment
for body, mind and spirit for all the family during the Easter Holidays.
Most of us are Catholics, but we are always delighted to welcome a good number from other Christian traditions, including some of our conference speakers. We have much to learn from each other and to share and celebrate during the week. In 2008, the changes in the school holidays meant that we couldn't hold the Conference during Easter week in Ilfracombe, so we took the opportunity to offer a number of CELEBRATE WEEKENDS around the UK. These were so popular that we ran them again in 2009 .. and again in 2010! Just a comment on the 2009 weekends and the 2010 Conference, which is also now over.
For those of you who attended any of the events, we hope you and your families enjoyed the refreshment, the teaching and being with friends old and new. The organising teams worked hard leading up to the Conference and Weekends, sensing God’s guidance along the way. We are immensely grateful to everyone involved in the Celebrate, and we thank God for all of you. We're particularly grateful too to the staff at John Fowler Holidays and at Ilfracombe Arts College, trusting us with the full use of their recently expanded and improved premises. And so, we look forward to the 2010 Weekends
It all promises to be an exciting time, and once again we’ve assembled teams of gifted people to challenge and inspire us with the Good News, and to entertain us with their wit, wisdom and God-given artistic talents in St Albnans, Brighton, Bristol and Southampton It isn’t boring to be a Christian today! Hoping to see you at one of the 2010 weekends.
