“See, I am doing a new thing!” (Isaiah 43:19 NIV)
CELEBRATE is a Catholic Charismatic conference for all, young and old, open to individuals and families alike. We hope that the weekend will help you find fresh inspiration and renewal in your faith in a relaxed and friendly environment.
In this time of upheaval our faith needs nurturing. We aim to make a space in which God can be powerfully present. Experience and feedback teaches us that these weekends are a time of great blessing through:
- Inspired Teaching from top-class speakers such as David Wells and Ronán Johnston.
- A wealth of insightful seminars and workshops on both days covering a range of topics.
- Superb Children’s & Youth Ministry, led by experienced leaders, who will help develop the children’s relationship with the Lord through fun faith-based activities.
- Creative liturgy and celebration of Mass daily.
- Time and space to encounter Christ’s healing touch in Adoration, Reconciliation and Prayer Ministry.
There is also a chapel for quiet prayer & reflection, and a marketplace brimming with resources, bibles, books, DVDs and CDs.
Mass will be celebrated on both days. As well as the planned programme there is time for relaxed chatting with friends old and new; many friendships begin and flourish at Celebrate.
Parents have a rare opportunity to ‘make space’ for themselves, as there is a full programme for all children & young people from the age of 3, plus a crèche for parents and toddlers.
CELEBRATE is for everyone: fervent or unsure, parish regulars and new enquirers - come and join us in pastures new!
If you have attended Celebrate before, we encourage you to invite someone who hasn’t, so they too can experience what you already have; there is lots to celebrate and share, so be bold and invite someone you know!
David is an extraordinary communicator and a great friend of Celebrate. He is known for his ability to present deep truths of faith in a very human context. A leader of adult catechesis in Plymouth Diocese for 16 years, his current role is to assist schools in their contribution to the New Evangelisation. David is also the author of two books, The Reluctant Disciple and The Grateful Disciple.
Rónán is a writer of soundtrack for Film, TV and Theatre, a multi-platinum selling producer, an author, an international speaker, a TV and radio host and band leader of musical collective, Emmaus. His work has been performed all over the world and translated into many languages. The way in which Ronán shares his personal faith journey brings us all to a new understanding of how the Lord can and does work in our own lives.
Catherine is the Director of the Youth Mission Team within the Diocese of Shrewsbury. This role was newly created in September 2017 and she made the move from her native Archdiocese of Birmingham to work in Birkenhead.
Catherine is recently married (June 9th) to her husband James, from County Fermanagh in Ireland who also works in Youth Ministry. Her career in ministry began as part of the Soli House gap year team in 2005, which led to a deep love for working with young people and for the Church. After university she was guided back to Soli to implement and co-ordinate an Outreach programme for Diocesan Secondary Schools. It was from then that her passion, drive and talent for leading worship flourished. Catherine has a heart for the beautiful, from worship music to all things design, particularly social media and marketing, but singing is her biggest joy.

Children and Youth Streams
For older children and young people we have streams led by enthusiastic young adults experienced in working alongside this age group and are familiar with the issues they live with.
- Crèche for children under reception age
- Little Fishes- Reception, Year 1 & 2 aged children
- Living Waters- Years 3, 4 & 5 aged children
- Chosen- Years 6, 7, 8 & 9 aged young adults

At the closing Mass the streams will lead the conference in helping us all to reflect on the readings and they will lead us in prayer and worship. Parents can relax, knowing that their children will be enjoying their streams.
Children in the crèche must be accompanied at all times.
