Charles and his wife Sue began Celebrate. Charles wears a number of hats in the many areas he has responsibility for: Chairman of the International Charismatic Consultation (ICC); Past President of International Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services (ICCRS); Life Member of the English National Service Committee (NSC) for Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR); Co-chairman of the Charismatic and Pentecostal Leaders Conference. He is also been made a Papal Knight of St. Gregory the Great.
Sue, along with Charles her husband, is responsible for the inception of the Celebrate conference at Ilfracombe. She deals with all the administration of the Celebrate in Devon as well as using these talents for many other conferences such as the Harvesters Weekend at Woldingham and other interdenominational conferences. Her main task is the support she gives to her very busy husband.
As Regional Coordinator for Celebrate, Jenny spends much of her time travelling to the many weekend events to support the regional core teams. She has served the leadership team since 2006 and previously worked within the Catholic Church presenting and producing Catholic Faith Exploration (CaFE) DVD resources. She also speaks across the UK and beyond in parishes and at conferences. She is Vice Chair of the English National Service Committee (NSC) for Catholic Charismatic Renewal.
Anne has been involved with the Celebrate since the very beginning. As a primary school teacher for many years and with particular experience in working with children with additional needs, she now has responsibility for safeguarding issues and so is a vital member of the team.
Pippa works full time in advertising and outside of work she is involved in leadership within the Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR). She sits on Network, the team for CCR Youth Ministry in England. Celebrate is very dear to Pippa's heart having attended the conferences since she was five and she now heads up the youth conference, Joel's Bar. She is a member of the One Hope Project worship family and lives in a community house with other twenty somethings who strive to live a life of hospitality and prayer.
As one of the founders of Sion Catholic Community for Evangelism, Peter has a wealth of experience of missionary work with Catholic parishes and schools. He has served Celebrate for many years and brings his knowledge of evangelisation and the Church to the team.
Sarah, known as Sam, has grown up at Celebrate. She served on and headed up the Young Adult stream, Joel’s Bar, for ten years and, along with others she set up Release - Celebrate’s Young Leaders Formation Programme. Having handed over the leadership of Joel’s Bar, Sam has spoken at a number of Celebrate events. She gives of her time alongside researching and lecturing in History at the University of Leicester.
Andrew is a founding member of the Cor et Lumen Christi Community, a Catholic charismatic, contemplative community with a Eucharistic heart that was established in 1990. He is currently Prior of their St Cuthbert's community house in the North of England. He is a regular speaker in the Catholic Renewal and has served on the leadership team of Celebrate for many years and helps to lead Release the young leaders formation programme.
As well as leading the 'Switched On!' children's stream for the Celebrate conference, Claire supports Celebrate weekends by providing training and materials for children's streams, and workshops to encourage and equip parents in passing on their faith. She is also piloting Celebrate@Home (a family prayer group) with her husband Pierre. Her experience as a teacher and lecturer in primary RE and as a children's catechist are invaluable to Celebrate which has such a family focus.
Tim and his wife Debbie with their children Charlotte and Alex have been faithful Celebrators since 1999. Tim has led the St. Albans Celebrate weekend team since the regional weekends first started. He also works for CaFE helping bring faith alive with resources, and missions often sharing with parents and starting men's groups. Tim is also a member of the Westminster DST.
Gemma is a trained youth worker and has many years of experience in youth ministry and young adult formation. She has led streams at the Celebrate Ilfracombe as well as at the regional weekends. She now oversees youth ministry for the regional events and helps head up the Release young leaders programme. She has a passion for evangelisation and discipleship and loves the privilege of walking alongside people in their journey of faith.
Andrew (honorary member) has served the Celebrate leadership team with his IT and technical expertise. He has been responsible for the huge task of sound and lighting, and the IT requirements at the Celebrate Ilfracombe event and now helps to advise the regional weekends.
