Our Journey

There are many people and paths that have formed and joined the journey of CELEBRATE Trust since we first began our conference in 1994. We seek to be open to the Holy Spirit at all times, to guide us in what we do, and to deepen our relationships with God and one another as we carry out the work He has called us to.

Here’s our map of the key roads of CELEBRATE Trust so far:

Ilfracombe - In 1994 CELEBRATE was launched; a residential week in Ilfracombe, Devon for the whole family. A place where lasting friendships have been forged and lives transformed by powerful encounters with the love of God.

Regionals - In 2008 we launched regional weekends across the UK and found that these give so many more people the opportunity to experience CELEBRATE Trust alongside the residential week. The regionals are also a great way for families to meet others in their locality so that ongoing faith community can be established and grow.

RELEASE - In 2010 we began training young leaders in a year long leadership and formation programme to serve both Joel’s Bar and CELEBRATE Trust. This is tailored to support the needs and growth of each cohort and we have now seen four groups of leaders graduate through RELEASE.

Joel’s Bar - In 2014 our residential young adults event*for year 12 – age 28 began. The week gathers young adults to invest in their faith, build Christian networks, and realise their call to live in relationship with God.

CELEBRATE Goes to Big Church Festival - Since 2017, CELEBRATE Trust has hosted a large group of people at Big Church Festival, an ecumenical Christian worship festival. In 2023, more than 800 people came with us! We camp together in a dedicated pitch onsite and organise various activities alongside the Big Church Festival timetable.

CELEBRATE@Home Online Resources and Courses - In 2020 we launched our CELEBRATE Online activities. This increased our engagement with hundreds of Catholics and other Christians from across the UK and beyond.
